About the CPD course
Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) is the term currently used to describe the experience of non-school attendance due to very high levels of anxiety. Situations of EBSA can be hugely stressful for everyone concerned. In this course you will learn to: recognise EBSA as one term with many reasons for non-attendance at school; understand the factors that can increase the risk of EBSA; recognise the resiliency factors that support recovery from EBSA; recognise each person's role to play in supporting experiences of EBSA; begin to develop a toolkit of ideas for solutions focused planning; implementation and impact reviewing.
