Promoting the Achievement of Looked After Children in Education
Online Course • Flourish Learning
About the CPD course
This course is aimed at foster carers and others who support the education of Looked After children and young people. We need to better understand the reasons behind attachment behaviours so that we can increase our empathy and understanding and ultimately help towards better educational outcomes. The course looks at education practices across England; Scotland and Wales and focuses on the team around the child or young person and what responsible adults can do every day to work towards better outcomes. It looks at where learning takes place; how to overcome barriers and be aspirational education role models for Looked After children and young people.
