About the CPD course
We explore different types of stalking (Typologies) their origin; stalker motivations and behaviours associated with each distinct typology. We touch on research and different models of stalking classification. We consider context in terms of relationships; the Law and explore mental health in a stalking context - how in some cases this drives motivation and specific behaviours. We look at underlying pre-existing vulnerabilities of both victim and stalker. Victim risks/stressors; also dynamic risk factors for the stalker which influence escalation; recurrence increased danger for the victim. This is a participatory course using 'real life' case studies; with a written assignment and formal assessment

Action Against Stalking (AAS), formerly known as Action Scotland Against Stalking, is an umbrella charity which champions the rights of stalking victims in the UK and across the globe. It is crucial to be aware that stalking can happen in many forms to any gender, at any age and anywhere, be it in private life, the workplace, in education establishments or other environments.
