About the CPD course
A practical training session for nurses; healthcare workers and education staff caring for patients and clients with tracheostomies in the community. The session covers A&P of the upper respiratory system; indications for a tracheostomy and associated anatomical changes and implications; routine care and suctioning; complications and ways of resolving them; emergency tube changes; immediate life support; tracheostomy resuscitation and manual ventilation.
