About the CPD course

Motivational Interviewing is a person-centred and collaborative approach that helps people to make changes in their lives through exploring and resolving ambivalence; inner conflict or mixed feelings they are experiencing about the behaviour they want to change. MI has been shown to be particularly effective with people struggling with dependency issues but is applicable to helping people in any situation where a significant choice is being contemplated. This 3-day in-person training is relevant to staff working in services across the Health; Social Care and Voluntary sector; with no prior knowledge of MI or looking to refresh and enhance existing skills.
