About the CPD course
PIE and TIC are two important approaches that are essential to offering effective services and care to vulnerable and multiply disadvantaged groups. The negative impact of trauma; including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs); on individual outcomes is well documented. Addressing these impacts; in line with best practice guidance; is key to improving those outcomes. This 2-day course; delivered in person or live online; is designed around the NHS Scotland’s TIC Competency Framework and latest evidence-based developments. It will introduce the two practices; highlight the effect they have on staff and service user outcomes; and provide practical guidance on their successful implementation.
