All training is tailored for those working or potentially working in a professional or voluntary capacity; who may be in contact with victims of sexual violence and abuse. By completing the course; you will have a clear understanding of: Sexual violence and abuse be able to explain what the role of an independent sexual violence advisor (ISVA) is. Explain and dispel some of the myths; define consent; identify the basic signs of sexual violence and abuse; have a more in-depth understanding of how to communicate and respond to concerns; identify the impact on the victim and their family.
Our Counselling Service offers support for women, men, young people and children (aged 11 upwards) who have experienced non-recent (historic) childhood sexual abuse; any form of sexual assault, sexual violence, sexual exploitation or rape.
