About the CPD course
This course considers the issues facing young people in their transition from Local Authority care to independence. It looks at the role; skills and responsibilities of the Personal Adviser. It covers young people’s entitlements to support; the ways that young people come in to care and the role of Corporate Parents. Participants will consider the young person perspective on what support they require; the legislation affecting their transition and hearing the voice of the young person in decision making. It also considers the particular challenges that may face young people and how we can support them to make a success of independence.
