About the CPD course
This course is aimed at registered healthcare professionals to upskill their knowledge and understanding of dementia and the management during latter stages of disease. It ensures a holistic approach of care; treatment and management of the condition is understood; addressing issues around complexities that may arise with capacity and safeguarding. It further concludes the importance of advance care planning in dementia and looks at the role of the ReSPECT document in adhering to individuals wishes and choices.
We are a charity which provides specialist compassionate care and support to patients and their families in Barnsley who are living with a progressive, life-limiting illness. Our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals provide care and support in every way we can and take a holistic approach to help improve quality of life. People with progressive, life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, motor neurone disease and Parkinson's disease can access a range of support services and treatments at the Hospice. These include day therapy, complementary therapy, carers groups, inpatient care and counselling support to help them live the best life they can.
