About the CPD course
An introductory course for registered healthcare professionals (Registered Nurse/Nurse Associate; Paramedic; Pharmacist etc) in Contraception and Sexual Health. This course covers the main methods of contraception such an Oral Contraceptives and Injectables; as well as Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) and Emergency Contraception (EC). The clinicians should feel confident to start a period of supervised practice following these two days; offering simple ‘contraception reviews’ of oral and injectable contraceptives; and signpost patients to appropriate services for LARC and EC.
