About the CPD course
This interactive workshop provides a good understanding of the different types of domestic abuse as defined in the 2021 Domestic Abuse Act and why this is such an important topic for healthcare professionals in the UK. We consider barriers to disclosure of domestic abuse in healthcare settings and look at good practice guidelines for health professionals working with people who may have experienced abuse.
Behind Closed Doors has been providing safe and confidential support to people of all genders who have experienced domestic abuse for over 25 years. Our skilled and experienced team deliver tailored programmes of support that reach hundreds of people each year.
We provide a range of training from regular events to bespoke training for organisations and consultancy support to develop workplace policies.
Training is delivered online by a qualified trainer with direct experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse.
