About the CPD course

The course will provide participants with information to meet the requirements of the Department of Health Guidelines on Prevention and Control of Infection in Residential and Nursing Homes. It will ensure that anyone who provides direct care to individuals understands the use of standard infection prevention and control measure including the use of PPE and COSHH. Participants will be equipped with knowledge on main legislation; an overview of the key elements of infection control; an understanding of how infections might occur; how good practice can reduce their likelihood and prevent the spread of infection in health and social care settings
