The Cash Practitioner Development Programme (CPDP) is an innovative initiative designed to enhance the Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) expertise within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The programme provides a structured learning and development pathway for humanitarian professionals over 12-18 months. The CPDP combines technical training; mentoring; real-life deployments; and professional development; focusing on Technical Competence; Professional Skills; Organisational Understanding; and Application in Humanitarian Contexts. Mentoring is a key feature; with experienced cash mentors offering personalised guidance; crucial for developing the confidence and competence needed to manage CVA operations effectively.
