About the CPD course
Working effectively with parents is key to building successful childminding arrangements with children and their families. This module will explain why working with parents is important for the child; the parent and the childminder and how to put strategies in place to help build these vital relationships right from the start. Communication is the key to success and so the module then covers communication skills; including assertiveness and effective listening. Understanding parents' needs; priorities and values will help you to consider the ways that parents will engage both initially and going forward.
