About the CPD course
Complex ventral hernia repairs and techniques to reconstruct the abdominal wall have advanced rapidly in recent years. Our training course will review the anatomy of the abdominal wall; preoperative considerations; and reconstructive methods for abdominal wall defects with special attention to component separation techniques. Salvage options and an MDT discussion with real-world cases will also be presented. Didactic lectures will be followed by approximately 3 hours of hands-on experience using cadaveric specimens to teach the techniques described in the lectures.
