ADHD is often underdiagnosed until adult life hence there an increased need for early detection; diagnose and treatment. Primary care professionals need to be aware of “red flags” and refer to Specialist for assessment. This includes structured interview and collateral from family or school. People with ADHD have a comprehensive; holistic shared treatment plan that addresses psychological; behavioural and occupational or educational needs. Pharmacological and non pharmacological treatments are available for better outcomes.
