Participants will learn practical skills through exercises and case studies to safeguard individuals under their care. The course covers safeguarding obligations; abuse types; child sexual exploitation; and report writing. Responding to disclosures; sharing confidential information; and taking action after a safeguarding referral are also addressed. The course is open to both full-time and part-time students.
