About the CPD course
Children from birth to two years develop quickly; and this time is vital to lifelong development and learning providing the foundation to give every child the best start in life. After highlighting key points in the statutory guidance and child development theories relating to birth to two-year-olds the session explains and discusses the importance of the keyperson and secure attachments in relation to development. This knowledge is then applied to early years practice focusing on the settling in period and prime areas of development through enabling environments and inspirational practice.
The Early Years Alliance is the largest and most representative early years membership organisation in England. We support early years providers to deliver quality, affordable and sustainable care and learning to families, and work to ensure that all children, regardless of background, are given the best possible start in life. The Alliance’s vision is a society where every child enjoys the same opportunity to learn through play. We believe families should be at the centre of policy-making and parents empowered to become more involved with their child’s learning and development.
