About the CPD course
The outdoors has so much to offer children of all ages; and we shouldn’t forget about the babies and toddlers. This session aims to support attendees to identify practical steps to providing valuable outdoor learning opportunities for children birth to two years. Within the session; we will describe the benefits of outdoor learning for children birth to two years; identify challenges; barriers and potential risks and discuss how we may overcome them; and determine positive ways to build partnerships with families and support them to access the outdoors as part of the Home Learning Environment.
The Early Years Alliance is the largest and most representative early years membership organisation in England. We support early years providers to deliver quality, affordable and sustainable care and learning to families, and work to ensure that all children, regardless of background, are given the best possible start in life. The Alliance’s vision is a society where every child enjoys the same opportunity to learn through play. We believe families should be at the centre of policy-making and parents empowered to become more involved with their child’s learning and development.
