About the CPD course
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) stipulates that each child must be assigned a key person. In this workshop we explore the important role of the key person and how every child's learning and care is tailored to meet their individual needs. This interactive session will; raise educators' awareness of the significance and value they have as a key person. Support the understanding of the key person requirements of the EYFS. Recognise the importance of secure attachments for babies and toddlers and consider how the Overarching Principles of the EYFS should shape the key person approach of early years providers.
The Early Years Alliance is the largest and most representative early years membership organisation in England. We support early years providers to deliver quality, affordable and sustainable care and learning to families, and work to ensure that all children, regardless of background, are given the best possible start in life. The Alliance’s vision is a society where every child enjoys the same opportunity to learn through play. We believe families should be at the centre of policy-making and parents empowered to become more involved with their child’s learning and development.
