About the CPD course
This is for anyone who works with children and young people in education settings. It aims to improve your understanding of extremism and radicalisation; which is an increasingly pervasive issue facing schools. The course outlines definitions and issues about the radicalisation of young people; including warning signs; risk factors; protective factors; and grooming. It includes guidance on distinguishing hate speech from acceptable speech; on school grounds; as well as providing information about online hate speech; on mainstream social media and other channels. Scenarios aid understanding and embed learning. This course provides insights into promoting good general practice in your school.
