About the CPD course
Working with clients who have a history of trauma can be immensely challenging. Clients may dissociate; experience flashbacks; or feel re-traumatised by recalling traumatic memories and events. As counsellors we need to know how to work safely and enable our clients to regain a sense of control. To achieve this we need to understand how trauma can disrupt and de-rail us. This interactive training will use presentation; group discussion and small group exercises to help you make sense of what is happening in the therapy room and provide a framework for safe and effective practice.
