Get Set for UK Practice: An induction for Overseas Nurses

Get Set for UK Practice: An induction for overseas nurses prepares overseas nurses for the realities of working in the NHS; developing communication skills to enable them to operate more effectively both within the workplace and in the wider community. During the course; participants will develop competency in English in the following areas of their professional life: approaching the patient; asking about activities of daily living (ADLs); taking vital signs and explaining results; administering medication; escalating care and teamwork; and managing challenging patients and relatives. They will also have access to a mini course to further develop their understanding of UK culture.
