About the CPD course
A one day workshop to deliver training to administration staff working in GP practices. The training programme is based on NHS England’s correspondence management and workflow optimisation recommendations. The aim is to provide students with the knowledge; confidence and skills to process all incoming patient correspondence from hospitals; community services and other healthcare organisations. The workshop is a mix of theory and practice with taught sessions; discussion and group work. There is also the opportunity to share good practice and discuss the implementation of safe processes; policies and audit.
EQUIP aims to improve the quality of care in chronic diseases in general practice through education, anticipatory care and audit by developing and utilising all the skills within the practice team. CCGs or practices can commission specific training ranging from accredited Health Care Assistant and Receptionist courses to specific clinical courses such as minor operations and anticoagulation courses through to employment law.
In relation to audit and the new contract, our audit co-ordinator and Audit & IT Lead are able to work with practices and advise on areas such as Read Code, QoF, CQRS, Admission Avoidance etc... EQUIP can provide training for all members of the primary health care team
