This course will help front line police officers become more familiar with the varied nature of domestic abuse: how this impacts victims and the effect of interactions with police on positive outcomes for victims. Participants will build an awareness of the psychology of domestic abuse through hearing from victims themselves and consider how policing can be delivered to support them. The training is designed and implemented to engage officers and navigate challenging discussions and conversations.
