About the CPD course

Pregnancy is a time when the womans body physically prepares to give birth; however it is also a time when mental health issues could develop or be exacerbated by the changes that occur. Perinatal mental health (PMH) problems are those which occur during pregnancy or in the first year following the birth of a child. They affect up to 20% of new & expectant mums & covers a wide range of conditions. If left untreated; mental health issues can have significant & long-lasting effects on the woman; the child; & the wider family.
