This presentation highlights what to be aware of when submitting a building control application for fire doorsets at the second critical checkpoint; during the construction phase of higher-risk buildings; under the Building Safety Act's framework. It provides a background to recent legislation affecting fire doorsets; key aspects of the Building Safety Regime governing fire doorsets; and what to consider when providing the direct line of sight between the construction project and building regulations. It touches on performance criteria for this construction product and looks at ways of future-proofing for the forthcoming changes in approved guidance documents for Building Regulations 2010.
