About the CPD course

Online training course designed to ensure local authority officers to comply with RIPA/RIP(S)A legislation during investigative activities. Failure to gather evidence legally will mean it cannot be used to support a successful prosecution. This means the investigation will have wasted time and resources. All frontline council staff need to be aware of the provisions of the RIPA/RIP(S)A code of conduct and council policy. This course provides relevant information to support gathering of information or evidence through Covert Surveillance and Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS).
