About the CPD course
The Foundations of Peer Support. Peer Support is about using your own lived experience to empathise; understand and support others with the same or similar issues and experiences. Through this course; we explore the background and history around peer support and also introduce our Peer Support Charter. We work through our ten Charter Values and encourage course participants to engage in this process. We use various techniques to work through these values; as well as encouraging group discussion. This course enables participants to reflect and have a better understanding of themselves; their own wellbeing and options to look at supporting others in a peer way.
