About the CPD course
A short course to enable learners to become competent at using an intravenous cannula. The course includes important elements of theory: explaining the uses of cannulas: the importance of Aseptic Non-Touch Technique: how to care for a cannula once sited: and what potential complications can occur. The course then focusses heavily on practical work: mastering best practice for successfully siting an IV cannula: including finding a suitable vein: and plenty of practice with training arms.
