About the CPD course

This interactive session has been developed by care experienced young people primarily for prospective foster carers. The session would also be appropriate for current foster carers. During the session; attendees will take part in activities designed by young people and hear directly from young people about their key messages for foster carers. The session will cover: Investing in Children and the background to the training; What it’s like coming into care; Discussion on children’s rights; What makes a good foster carer?; Language and what it means. Issues important to young people.
