Drug and Alcohol Psychology

This online course will help develop an understanding of addiction theories such as the moral model; the psychological model; the medical/disease model; and the socio-cultural model. You will learn various addiction treatments such as pharmacotherapy; the Minnesota model; counselling and therapy; the harm reduction model; and treatments in practice. This course will teach you drug policies; legislation and decriminalisation; and more about alcohol and drug education. By the end of the course; you will have a broad knowledge of various addiction models; treatments; helper qualities and attitudes; and counselling skills.
