About the CPD course
Sibling sexual abuse (SSA) is the most common; yet least disclosed form of child sexual abuse. It takes place in secrecy; thrives on silence; and often results in life-long struggles with poor mental health and irreparably fractured familial relationships. ‘Handing Back The Shame’ focuses on the lived experience of a survivor’s 50-year battle to heal and find justice following abuse at the hands of her brother when she was 8 years old. This seminar aims to provide an opportunity to explore and understand the devastating consequences of sibling sexual abuse in a safe and professional setting.
At Learn It Online, we recognise the importance of continuing professional development (CPD) and the crucial role it plays in enhancing patient care. All too often, online education can be unengaging, irrelevant and too far removed from the lived experience of patients and those caring for them. Our holistic approach to both the course design, build and delivery draws on the vision and skills of a select, hand-picked team of experts from a variety of backgrounds. This approach enables us to create courses that are well-rounded, patient-centred whilst ultimately meeting the required learning outcomes.
