The MSL Orton-Gillingham Workshop is conducted via Zoom or onsite over 6 half days or 3 full days. It brings Tier 1 and Tier 2 intervention (RTI model) into the classroom using the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Participants will learn how to teach higher level phonograms; syllabication patterns and spelling rules. They will also learn how to plan an OG lesson incorporating these elements for older children. The workshop is highly interactive – the training is delivered via mini lectures; demonstrations; and participants are required to engage in hands-on activities in small groups in breakout rooms.
At the MSL Centre, we believe that every individual is different and deserves to be taught in the way in which he or she learns best. Using primarily the Orton-Gillingham Approach, our highly qualified academic therapists provide intervention and remediation for children and adults whose educational performance falls below clinical expectations.
