This training has been created by Mums In Need as part of the Lived Experience Leadership Project funded by the National Lottery. It was created by women who have lived experience of coercive control and post-separation abuse. The Confronting Coercive Control training is designed to support Cafcass workers who are working with survivors of coercive control and post-separation abuse giving them the tools to recognise the impact of coercive control on mothers and children and to enable them to better support clients and make informed judgements.
What we offer is the opportunity for mothers to be able to live safely without fear their and live fulfilled life whilst battling with their abusive ex-partner.
The worry and stress can result in both physical illness and mental conditions such as depression. Children need to be nurtured by their mother to fully progress through all stages of emotional development. But when the mother is negatively affected by the on-going effects of a relationship break-up this becomes difficult or near impossible, despite their best efforts.
Mums In Need provides mothers with the chance to do this. By becoming a member of Mums In Need you get to communicate with other mums, share each others experience and even make new true friends who really understand the situation and can relate to you.
