About the CPD course
At the end of the session participants should leave with sound knowledge of ARFID and will understand and recognise the signs; symptoms; and misconceptions. Participants will value the seriousness of ARFID and acknowledge the effects it can have for the eating distress individual and their loved ones. Gaining valuable knowledge on ways to work with the people in their care and know when to reach out to appropriate service providers as a result of engaging in 'Understanding ARFID' training provided by Eating Distress North East.
Eating Distress North East are the only specialist eating distress charity in the North East and aim to be a centre of excellence for eating distress support. We offer counselling, support, information, help and hope to anyone in the North East affected by eating distress.
We deliver counselling and psychotherapy, health and wellbeing groups, education, and support to individuals, friends, families and carers, free of charge and by self-referral. Our services include:
