About the CPD course
This session focuses on exploitation from the child’s perspective which allows us to meet their needs and promote recovery. We consider how the child’s feelings and needs are affected by factors including; was the abuse discovered or disclosed? Is the abuse intra or extra familial or a combination? By viewing exploitation through the eyes of the child we can identify their needs and tailor our responses accordingly. We use case examples to understand safety and disruption from the child’s perspective and to ensure that their feelings and needs are prioritised.
NWG is a charitable organisation formed as a UK network of over 14,500 practitioners who disseminate our information down through their services, to professionals working on the issue of child exploitation (CE) and trafficking within the UK.
Our network covers voluntary and statutory services and private companies working in this field. We offer support, guidance and raise the profile, provide updates, training, share national developments, influence the development of national and local policy informed by practice.
