About the CPD course
The majority of local sports opportunities are made possible by volunteers; this training has been written with them in mind. A basic safeguarding awareness may be useful prior to attending this course but is not essential. This course provides an awareness of what exploitation is and the ways children could be vulnerable before considering how exploitation might look in a sports environment. Attendees will be given an understanding of signs that might indicate a child is being exploited before being given advice and guidance about response. This session will end by sign posting to relevant sources.
NWG is a charitable organisation formed as a UK network of over 14,500 practitioners who disseminate our information down through their services, to professionals working on the issue of child exploitation (CE) and trafficking within the UK.
Our network covers voluntary and statutory services and private companies working in this field. We offer support, guidance and raise the profile, provide updates, training, share national developments, influence the development of national and local policy informed by practice.
