About the CPD course
Pancreatic Cancer UK's three-part 'Introduction to pancreatic cancer' course provides an overview of pancreatic cancer; from how it presents and the symptoms associated with the disease; to treatment options and the ongoing supportive care needs of people with pancreatic cancer. In part three of the course we will explore symptom management; looking at: pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI); diet and weight loss; fatigue; pain; psychological impact; jaundice; nausea and vomiting; bowel changes; diabetes; ascites; and blood clots. This course is designed for all healthcare professionals with no or limited experience of pancreatic cancer; or those looking for a refresher.
Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we're taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. For too long this disease has been sidelined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need.
Pancreatic Cancer UK provide expert, personalised support and information via our Support Line and through our range of publications. We fund innovative research to find the breakthroughs that will change how we understand, diagnose and treat pancreatic cancer. We campaign for change; for better care, treatment and research, and for pancreatic cancer to have the recognition it needs.
