About the CPD course
Delivered by UK certified Behaviour Analysts; this course teaches care staff everyday behavioural adaptations that they can make to the care that they provide to people with dementia to prevent problem behaviours and improve quality of life. It cultivates a person-centred approach that meets the needs of people living with dementia using evidence based behavioural techniques. The course uses a unique hybrid format where learners can take the taught content online over a 16-week period; while getting live support from experts to implement what they have learned with real clients. Learners submit a final case study to pass the course.
PACT are the first providers of its kind to deliver bespoke behaviour support and interventions for older adults with dementia and their carers across the North West and North Wales by behaviour analysts who are experts in the field. We regularly provide skills based training for carers and caregivers of older adults, and deliver these both privately and across local authorities. We can support in long term care settings and in the community with issues such as behaviour that challenges, apathy and disengagement, wandering, hoarding, independence and personal care, wellbeing, and other symptoms of dementia and related conditions.
