About the CPD course
This course is aimed at GPs; nurse prescribers; PCN and practice pharmacists and pharmacy technicians; medicines optimisation teams and community pharmacists. The course is comprised of six modules covering the background to AF and the risk of stroke; NICE clinical guideline 196 on the Diagnosis and Management of AF; the assessment of stroke and bleeding risks; the choice of anticoagulant; the safe use of DOACs in renal impairment; co-prescribing of anticoagulants and antiplatelets and the patient information required to ensure that anticoagulants are used as safely as possible.
