The objective of the Selfless Global Health Leadership Program is to train future healthcare leaders through an exchange of cultural and clinical education in a limited-resource setting. Our program seeks to enhance existing skills by immersing participants in a structured: international multi-day field experience; with pre-departure training and debriefing following return to UK. The programme focuses primarily on developing leadership skills in a global public health setting: as well as understanding the challenges of healthcare systems in LMIC: implementation of low cost: effective medical interventions: maintaining cultural sensitivities and the socio-economic implications of healthcare in a low resource setting.
