This seminar provides an overview of fundamental protection methods in low-voltage (LV) distribution systems. Participants will gain insights into the origins and features of typical fault types in LV distribution; such as Overcurrent; Earth leakage; Arc fault; and Transient Overvoltage. Through detailed explanations; the seminar introduces various protection techniques (fuse; ACB; MCCB; MCB; RCD; AFDD; SPD etc.); introducing their operational principles and distinct characteristics. Additionally; the applications on AC & DC protection devices; motor protection; and cable protection; will be demonstrated to enhance understanding.
