The Sirdar Applied Directorship Programme is a comprehensive; eleven-month programme that includes all styles of learning with a particular focus on ensuring participants develop practical experience of what it means to be a high-performance director on a high-performance board. The programme includes eight simulated board meetings (covering the themes of strategy; organisational culture; leadership and performance; stakeholder engagement; shareholder returns; risk governance; financial results and ongoing evaluation and improvement) videos; audio presentations; readings and written self-reflection exercises. During board meetings in modules three to ten; each participant will have the opportunity to chair the meeting and take minutes at least once.
