CPD Courses
To breathe or Not to Breathe: Respiratory Issues in Spinal Cord Injury
Online Course • Spinal Injuries Association
About the CPD course
This course provides education on spinal cord injury (SCI) specifically looking at respiratory issues. The session covers an overview of spinal cord injury to set the scene; and then looks at altered physiology post-SCI; acute management; and the management of both thoracic and cervical injuries. There is also information on the support the Spinal Injuries Association’s Support Network Service provides; along with input on lived experience throughout the session from one of our Support Co-ordinators. This session is delivered virtually by members of SIA’s Clinical and Support Network Teams to healthcare professionals working with SCI patients/clients in non-specialist settings.
