About the CPD course

Dysphagia is the medical term for a swallowing difficulty; Some may have difficulty with food only; while others may be unable to swallow altogether; The key to identifying a problem early is getting to know your Service User/Residents and being observant for any changes in their presentation or behaviour and preventing any negative health consequences from occurring; This course will cover signs of dysphagia and what to do if you notice a swallowing problem; to assisting someone with diagnosed dysphagia including the use of texture modified meals and drinks;
