About the CPD course
This training is designed to provide foster carers with an understanding of the difference between Learning Difficulties and Learning Disabilities and what and what it means for the individual in terms of accessing educational support and Adult Social Care provision in Post 18. ADHD can be challenging; frustrating and exhausting for both children with the condition; and for those who care for them. The training explores why getting a diagnosis can be difficult for children in care; what treatment and help is available and identifies some behaviour management strategies.
