About the CPD course
The Crime Survey for England and Wales (year ended March 2020) showed that an estimated 8.8 million adults aged 16 to 74 years had experienced domestic abuse. This equates to a prevalence rate of approximately 21 in 100 adults. The best way to reduce the risk of future victims is to positively work with people at risk of perpetrating domestic abuse. Working positively to help a person move away from offending can be challenging and rewarding. This course ensures that delegates leave with a good understanding of the signs of domestic abuse; how to motivate behaviour change; referrals pathways and how to keep themselves safe.
