This course is for anyone who is supporting or caring for someone with autism. The course will cover an understanding of what autism is. With delegates we will explore the models of disability and the importance of language when supporting and working with people with disabilities and autism. The course will also explore the impact neurodivergence can have on mental health and the various forms of communication we might experience when supporting those with autism. We will also explore ways of reducing conflict and how best to support someone with autism.
