About the CPD course
This training supports Health Professionals safeguarding CPD requirements. It will develop participants understanding of what domestic abuse is within the context of the Domestic abuse act; how it is perpetrated; and how victims present within health and clinical settings. The training provides guidance on ways to safely enquire about domestic abuse; how to complete risk assessment and how to respond appropriately to disclosures. It also provides information on the referral pathway to specialist domestic abuse support within Derbyshire.
